Davra demoing IOT at Gitex – Dubai

We received much interest on our stand and in particular our live IOT demonstration

Davra participated at the GITEX Middle East ICT Technology Trade Show, 20^th October to 24^thOctober, located at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Our participation was part of the Enterprise Ireland ICT delegation sponsored by the Irish Government.

GITEX is a significant annual event and Dubai is a nucleus of activity as far a technology Companies and Service Providers. Cisco, Huawei, Oracle, Etisalat, Du and Emaar had all significant stands at the event.

This was my first time to the Middle East but I can honestly say it took my breath away.  I have to tip my hat to any Government that uses Lamborghini’s as a patrol car’s.

 

A part from vendors presenting their solutions for sale there was an equally significant presence from the UAE Government displaying how they are deploying ICT public services.

We received much interest on our stand and in particular our IOT demonstration. Indeed at the show His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced Dubai would be the most ‘Connected’ City in the world by 2020 this created quite a buzz at the event.

I really look forward to working on the many business opportunities in the region – who wouldn’t!!
