Tell us about yourself

Hello everyone, I’m Bernard. After I graduated from Dublin City University with a BSc in Computer Applications and Software Engineering, I’ve worked in a number of industries. From my beginnings in Telecom Security, Insurance software to more recent work in Networking and Smart Electric Vehicle Charging in the start up I helped co-found, GridFlow.

What made you choose Davra?

It was through my work in GridFlow that I first heard of Davra and the innovative work they were doing across a whole spectrum of industries. Always looking for a new challenge, the thought of working for a company that tackles issues such as remote justice, smart cities and inter-connective automotive, it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.

What do you want to achieve at Davra?

I want my work to be used by real people making an impact on the world around them. I want a chance to face new and varied challenges, and to overcome them with like minded people. At Davra I’ve found the place to do just that.

What are your hobbies or interests?

This year I’ve gotten into both mountain biking and kayaking. From the peaks of the Wicklow Mountains to the seas off the coast of Cork, they’ve given me a chance to get out of the house as the restrictions of the past two years have eased.

When I’ve had enough of the great outdoors I’m also an avid reader of science fiction, and enjoy exploring Virtual Reality.
