Role Description

In line with our growth, Davra are seeking a QA Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring quality in everything we do. We are seeking a self-motivated, excellent communicator with a technical background to join our team so that we can continue to deliver world-class Industrial IoT products to our customers. We are seeking engineers who follow best practice and industry standards to ensure we’re always using the best tools and techniques to deliver our software. In this role you will participate in the full software life cycle from identifying the acceptance criteria at the refinement stage to automation and testing of each new function as well as expanding the automated regression testing and ongoing continuous improvement in the build pipeline.

Role Requirements

You have approximately two years’ experience as a QA engineer.

•  Strong technical background, understanding of web technologies

•  Proven ability to write test automation using Javascript

•  Experience with test automation & tools, e.g. Selenium Webdriver, Jasmine, SuperTest

•  Ability to analyse problems in detail, helping developers determine the root cause in order to resolve the issue quickly

•  Work within the team to define acceptance criteria for new features & product improvements

•  Own the QA processes and be an advocate for best practices and industry standards

•  Maintain and extend the existing test automation framework, and be ready to build the infrastructure for the automated testing of new projects

•  Carry out ad-hoc exploratory testing on the product

•  Respond to support queries by reproducing customer issues in a test environment and logging bugs or updating documentation as needed.

•  Automated testing and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins

•  Versioning tools such as Git

•  Relevant degree and additional qualifications

Valuable extras

• Experience with agile methodologies and approaches (Agile, Kanban)

•  Experience in IoT

•  Experience with NoSQL databases, e.g. Cassandra, MongoDB and Redis

•  Kubernetes, Docker and container based deployments

•  Experience working with Rest APIs

•  Web application security, AAS, Passport, OAuth, API tokens, etc.

•  Experience with Message bus such as Kafka
