In May of this year, Gartner released its long-awaited Magic Quadrant on IoT Platforms. It debunked the long-held myth of “450: IoT platform and placed only 18 companies on the report<\/a>.<\/p>\n This last week 2 companies made serious\u00a0moves that will almost certainly see them make major moves on this Magic Quadrant.<\/p>\n August 6th, 2018 ARM acquired “Treasure Data” an end to end data management platform for $600M to complement its June acquisition of the UK Based Stream Technology. On the same day, ARM announced the release of its Pelion IoT Platform. ARM is an amazing company expected Pelion to be a serious player. I wonder how Intel will react.<\/p>\n August 1st, 2018 Siemens acquired Mendix the “low-code” platform for $730M.
