{"id":317,"date":"2017-10-30T17:30:30","date_gmt":"2017-10-30T17:30:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/davra.com\/?p=317"},"modified":"2018-05-04T10:11:46","modified_gmt":"2018-05-04T10:11:46","slug":"dubai-gitex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/davra.com\/dubai-gitex\/","title":{"rendered":"Davra demoing IOT at Gitex &#8211; Dubai"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Davra participated at the GITEX Middle East ICT Technology Trade Show, 20<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0October to 24<sup>th<\/sup>October, located at the Dubai World Trade Center.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.davranetworks.com\/g1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Our participation was part of the Enterprise Ireland ICT delegation sponsored by the Irish Government.<\/p>\n<p>GITEX is a significant annual event and Dubai is a nucleus of activity as far a technology Companies and Service Providers. Cisco, Huawei, Oracle, Etisalat, Du and Emaar had all significant stands at the event.<\/p>\n<p>This was my first time to the Middle East but I can honestly say it took my breath away. \u00a0I have to tip my hat to any Government that uses Lamborghini\u2019s as a patrol car\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.davranetworks.com\/g2.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A part from vendors presenting their solutions for sale there was an equally significant presence from the UAE Government displaying how they are deploying ICT public services.<\/p>\n<p>We received much interest on our stand and in particular our IOT demonstration.\u00a0Indeed at the show\u00a0His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced Dubai would be the most &#8216;Connected&#8217; City in the world by 2020 this created quite a buzz at the event.<\/p>\n<p>I really look forward to working on the many business opportunities in the region &#8211; who\u00a0wouldn&#8217;t!!<\/p>\n<p>Gerry Mc Donnell<\/p>\n<p>Davra<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Davra participated at the GITEX Middle East ICT Technology Trade Show, 20th\u00a0October to 24thOctober, located at the Dubai World Trade Center.
