Davra is proud to announce that following an audit conducted by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI,) it has successfully achieved ISO 27001:2022 certification, alongside the recertification of ISO 9001:2015. These milestones underscore the company’s unwavering commitment to delivering the highest security and quality standards for our customers.
The company has been certified to ISO 27001:2017 by the NSAI since 2021. This recertification reaffirms the company’s dedication to maintaining consistent quality across all its products and services.
As the latest iteration of the globally recognised information security management standard, ISO 27001:2022 introduces new controls in the areas of threat intelligence, data leakage prevention, web filtering and information deletion amongst others.
Davra understands that the security of customer data is paramount. The new controls in ISO 27001:2022 ensure that the Davra Platform remains resilient against emerging threats, including advanced cyberattacks, data breaches, and other security challenges. By adhering to these enhanced controls, Davra provides customers with even greater assurance that their data is safeguarded by state-of-the-art security measures.
This certification is the latest notch in Davra’s compliance belt. Davra also recertified its ISO 9001:2015 quality management system which it has held since 2020, while it also holds SOC-2 certification, and is DOD-IL5 ready.
ISO/IEC 27001 is an internationally recognised standard for information security management systems (ISMS). The standard undergoes periodic updates to ensure it remains relevant to evolving security threats and organisational needs. The most recent version is ISO/IEC 27001:2022, which replaced ISO/IEC 27001:2017.
The 2022 version reduces the number of controls to 93, reorganised into 4 domains: "Organisational," "People," "Physical," and "Technological." The reduction in controls is due to the merging, restructuring, and updating of several existing controls, as well as the addition of new controls.
The 2022 version introduces 11 new controls, including threat intelligence, information security for the use of cloud services, data leakage prevention, and physical security monitoring.
These new controls reflect modern security challenges and ensure that companies are prepared to meet them.
